How To Track Keywords, Ad Groups & Campaigns With Juvo Leads

Juvo Leads will track Channels, Sources, and Pages as soon as the the Juvo Leads tag is installed and activated, but to track Campaigns, Ad Groups, and Keywords we’ll need to set up UTM’s.  This mainly applies to campaigns that are using Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Facebook Ads.

The view from the dashboard with UTM tracking shows the keywords in the “All Leads” view and when you click into the individual lead lead you can see the Campaign, and Ad Group as well.

This data is especially helpful when you export your leads and want to see what keywords, campaigns, and adgroups are converting into Signed Clients.

To get this deep tracking data into your Juvo Leads dashboard you need to tag your all of your “FINAL DESTINATION” url’s with Urchin Tracking Modules (UTM’s).  We’ve made this fairly easy by using our FREE UTM tagging sheet.

To get a copy of this for your own use this link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1755f14lDfB_7g7y4pZbaqf63xDpllxmzkDnZ8n93HIQ/edit#gid=0

Then click “File -> Make a Copy.”

Once you’ve made a copy for your own use you now want to add your final destination in Column B as well as the source, medium, campaign.  Optionally you can use Term (always use {keyword} so it will pull in the keyword dynamically from Google ads or Bing Ads), Ad Group, and Content.

Here at Juvo Leads we have Google Ads Campaign for “Live Chat” and an Ad Group targeting “Law Firms”.  Here is how we tag our ads.

The last column on the right “Final Linking URL” now has the correct URL string that we need.  The final url shown for Ad 1 is this:

https://juvoleads.com/live-website-chat-done-for-you/?utm_source=GoogleAds&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=Livechat&utm_term={keyword}&utm_adgroup=Lawfirms&utm_content=Ad1

We’re now going to take that “Final Destination URL” and add it to the “Final URL” field in Google Ads.

This is what we replace in Google Ads.

Using UTM does not effect what the visitor sees in the ad itself.

We’re now 95% complete.  The last and final step is to log into Google Analytics and go to the “Admin Setting”.

Now go to Property Settings, and then “Advanced Setting” and make sure the there is check mark next to: Allow manual tagging (UTM values) to override auto-tagging (GCLID values) for Google Ads and Search Ads 360 integration.

Now we’re done!  If you have any trouble getting this set up please contact your account manager here at Juvo Leads.
